Die langjährige Erfahrung in der Belieferung von in- und ausländischen Märkten garantiert Verlässlichkeit, höchste Qualität und Lieferung just in time. Handlbauer heißt Markt- und Exportkompetenz für viele Länder unserer Erde. Über 20.000 Landwirte, vorwiegend aus Oberösterreich und Niederösterreich, beliefern die einzelnen Schlachthöfe mit Qualitätsschweinen und -rindern. Die Handlbauer-Gruppe ist mit einem Exportanteil von rd. 45 % einer der größten Exporteure von Fleisch in Österreich. Die Herbert Handlbauer GmbH ist auf Rinder- und Schweineschlachtung, Grobzerlegung sowie Feinzerlegung spezialisiert. Mit einer Lagerkapazität von rund 3000 t ist die Handlbauer-Gruppe in der Lage, saisonale Schwankungen auszugleichen und ein kontinuierliches Angebot zu gewährleisten. Die Handlbauer-Gruppe beschäftigt über 250 Mitarbeiter.
The Handlbauer company was founded in 1935 by Josef Handlbauer in Steinhaus, Upper Austria - initially as an abattoir with a butcher's shop and its own inn. In 1970, Herbert Handlbauer took over his father's business and began to expand five years later: in 1975, an export slaughterhouse with a deep-freeze store was built in Wels.
Der Ausbau wurde kontinuierlich fortgesetzt: 1996 übernahm die Firma Handlbauer die Schlachthöfe in Linz und Lambrechten, weitere Schlachthöfe in Pregarten mit einer SB-Produktion oder in Baumgartenberg (Schweineschlachtbetrieb) folgten.
Die Handlbauer-Gruppe wird heute bereits in dritter Generation erfolgreich geführt. Wesentliche Märkte sind Österreich, Deutschland, Italien, Spanien, Frankreich, Schweiz, Niederlande, Dänemark, Rumänien, Bulgarien, Balkan, Asien (Korea, Japan, Philippinen, etc.) usw.
